It's about who gets the last chocolate?
and who snaffles the last sausage!
We have a lamb stew for dinner today...
and a light dessert for afterwards.
Enjoy your 'Boxing Day' an English tradition, which harks back to the times when servants were given a Christmas box (present) and maybe allowed to go home and visit their relatives for a couple of hours.

I think we are celebrating Boxing Day here in California by having a quiet day. Thanks for explaining its origins, servants allowed to spend a few hours! with family. I thought you were going to say days. Thanks goodness there are some improvements in the world.
I am home sitting in front of the computer, hoping that things will settle down a bit in my little corner of the world. I appreciate all your comments, Star, and just knowing you are there helps a lot. :-)
I'm also having a day of ;-) and I enjoy it!!!

Happy Boxing Day Star! Thank you for the explanation, I always wondered about the meaning of the holiday! I am excited that I got my Kindle for x-mas and the first book I downloaded was Bertie's House, of course! Can't wait to read to my granddaughter tomorrow! Brightest blessings to my favorite author! Love Wen
Did you bring the "Roses" from Britain? We can only get Quality Street here in Canada,
Gill
That all looks fabulous! I spent the day being lazy-a wonderful break for me. If it hadn't been for my dinner out with my girlfriends I'd probably not have gotten out of my pajamas.
